Everything is gray today. I haven’t heard any birds singing since seven this morning – since I woke up. I stepped outside about an hour ago, expecting to see the sun shining over the trees and the flowers and the streets, but instead I felt a stiff wind and saw that everything was silhouetted in black against the stormy, gray sky.
I did what anybody would do.
I pulled out my crayons, and I made it beautiful.
